چکیده

Background: Hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (HCM) is the most common inherited cardiomyopathy. An implantable cardioverter defibrillator (ICD) an efficient way of preventing sudden cardiac death in these patients.
Aim: Diagnosis and treatment genetically associated hypertrophic cardiomyopathy.
Case Report: We present a 28-year patient with history tachycardia, dizziness, transient chest pains, anamnestic information on episodes short-term loss consciousness fatigue. She has positive family HCM her uncle died young from (SCD). The electrocardiogram showed hypertrophy, which was confirmed echocardiography MRI. Genetic testing confirms PRKAG2 gene mutation. Holter24-hour ECG monitoring domination sinus bradycardia after it recommended implantation ICD. On implantation, persistent left superior vena cava (PLSVC) discovered side changed. A bipolar Implantable Cardioverter Defibrillator implanted.
Conclusion: When at age, should always be considered. Early recognition hereditary can facilitate better disease management follow-up even before symptoms appear.

Persistent left superior vena cava

Persistent left superior vena cava (PLSVC) is the most common congenital malformation of thoracic venous return and is present in 0.3 to 0.5% of individuals in the general population. This heart specimen was dissected from a 35-year-old male cadaver whose cause of death was determined as non-cardiac. The heart was examined and we found a PLSVC draining into the coronary sinus. The right superio...

A complicated trilogy: persistent left superior vena cava with hypertrophic cardiomyopathy and atrial septal defect

Extract: A 28-year-old asymptomatic woman was referred to ourclinic for evaluation of a heart murmur. Transthoracic echocardiography (TTE) demonstrated ventricular hypertrophy with septal thickness of 26 mm., consistent with hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (HCM). The diagnosis of HCM was confirmed by contrast-enhanced magnetic resonance imaging, and late gadolinium enhancement was observed in the a...

Persistent left superior vena cava is the most common form of anomalous venous drainage involving the superior vena cava, and represents persistence of the left horn of the embryonic sinus venosus, which normally involutes during normal development to become the coronary sinus. Almost always, a persistent left superior vena cava enters the right atrium through the orifice of an enlarged coronar...

A surgical case of combined valvular disease complicated by absent right superior vena cava and persistent left superior vena cava.

A 74-year-old man with combined valvular disease with a recent cerebral infarction was admitted. While undergoing thorough examination for valvular disease, absent right superior vena cava (RSVC) and persistent left superior vena cava (PLSVC) were recognized. Chest X-ray film suggested a right arch protrusion, and CT and venogram confirmed the diagnosis. During surgery, replacement of the mitra...
